Happy New Year’s Clover Meadows!
It has been a busy year! We wanted to send out a recap of all that your board did this year.
Repairs to the existing park were completed to the playground equipment. Graffiti was removed from the playground and multiple stop signs in the community. New community watch signs were installed.
There was a lot of push back from the developer to get the final lot on Dutch White in a presentable manner before accepting the transfer of deed. The lot had a lot of construction materials that were dumped in this area that would have cost the community a lot of money to clean up. We were also left with bad drainage issues. After some back and forth with our lawyer and the information our board found, we were able to get the developer to complete a land survey, clean up all the construction debris, remove large boulders and pay $20,000 to help with the grading and drainage issues. This was a significant cost save for our community!
The community’s landscaper was able to recommend and bid out a company for grading and drainage in this lot. The cost save on the work completed was another significant win for our community!
A survey went out to the community to get your valuable input on what the majority would like to see happen with this lot. The goal of this board is to be able to provide maximum results without affecting our low annual dues.
The number one item on the list was a walking trail. This has been completed with a parking area for about 10 cars. We are continuing to work on the other items on the list which include a basketball court, a dog park and a sheltered picnic area. We are hoping to have the area completed by the summer of 2025.
We would like to thank Burrows Landscaping for donating the lights, decorations and labor again to the entrances of Clover Meadows. This saves the community $500 quoted to have a company do this. Burrows Landscaping also donated and installed a Martin Bird house to help control the mosquitoes at the Dutch White lot.
The annual meeting had a good turnout for community participation. There were 2 open positions. Jeff Tunue and Samantha Wojnar won the majority vote to stay in their current board positions. We appreciate everyone who came. The board would like to thank our Management Company, Kelsey Harris with New Town for her support during our meeting.
We had another successful year of holiday contests! Thank you for everyone who participated. We look forward to holding events at the new park once it is completed. If you would like to volunteer for an event, please reach out to a board member.
